How it all began
Brownrigg Agri Gear was established in 2016, Gavin saw an opportunity for Multi-purpose trailers in the New Zealand market.
Growing up on a tillage and dry stock farm in Ireland, Gavin always had a keen interest in farming and farm machinery. When Gavin left school he worked full-time for an ag contractor for 5 years before coming to New Zealand. Arrived in NZ in 2010 to work for an agricultural contractor for a 12-year period. Operating a chopper and loader wagon were some of the main jobs during this period.
Having the experience of sitting in the seat has given me great insight and knowledge of the terrain and working conditions. Seeing an opportunity for multi-purpose trailers he started importing Donnelly trailers. A couple of years later we added Slurrykat to the range and most recently SLS.
Contracting in the heart of the Waikato has helped us develop our products and given us valuable knowledge in the field. Working closely with our suppliers, contractors and farmers we continue to develop our products and grow our business.
